While Austin Beer Week may be in full swing down here in the capital city, our neighbors up in Dallas-Fort Worth will soon kick off their own annual week-long celebration of sudsy fun: North Texas Beer Week.

And what better way to celebrate a week dedicated to metroplex microbrews than with an all-out beer festival organized by the minds behind two of North Texas’s mainstay beer fests, the Big Texas Beer Fest and Untapped.

Dubbed Texas Brewvolution, the festival will be held November 9 in Fair Park, and is planned to be a more intimate affair than the aforementioned fests.

And while attendance may be capped to ensure shorter lines and a more personalized experience, that doesn’t mean there won’t be plenty of breweries participating. The festival will feature more than 25 Texas craft breweries, along with a select few world class craft breweries hailing from outside the lonestar state.

While the final brewery and beer lists have not yet been released, some of the confirmed breweries thus far include Firestone Walker, Jester King, Real Ale, Prairie Artisan Ales, Oskar Blues and Ballast Point. And while the festival will obviously be highly beer focused, there will be a few departures from the standard beer fest fare.

“We really searched the entire state for some of the more esoteric brands you just don’t ever see up here in our neck of the woods,” Festival Co-Organizer Corey Pond (Common Table, Untapped Festival) said in a recent press release. “As far as new festival participants, we’re particularly excited to have Argus Cidery from the Austin hill country participating; these guys have some neat farmhouse-style ciders we don’t typically see in North Texas.”

Pond is organizing the festival alongside BTBF’s Chad and Nellie Montgomery. While North Texas Beer Week is currently in its third year (though it was previously named Dallas Beer Week) this is the inaugural year for Brewvolution.

In addition to the beer, the festival will feature live music from Shotgun Friday, the Hanna Barbarians and The Roomsounds, as well as local food and craft vendors.

A portion of Texas Brewvolution proceeds will go to benefit the North Texas Food Bank. General admission tickets are $35, and VIP tickets sell for $60. VIPs will enjoy an extra hour of sampling time, a dedicated entrance, in and out privileges, first access to rare tappings and an invitation to a pre-party held at Craft & Growler.
