You could spend your April Fool’s Day changing your co-workers desktop wallpapers to Awkward Family Photos, or putting cellophane over the toilet bowl, or, you could spend it drinking Belgian beers paired with French-Cajun cuisine. Even better, it’s all for the bargain price of $29.
Beginning at 6:30pm on April 1, Bess Bistro will be hosting a Meet & Drink event with Belgian Original Malt Bakery and Brewery (B.O.M.) Brewmaster Bert Van Hecke on their outdoor terrace.
Attendees will enjoy two pints of B.O.M. beers, Triporteur from Heaven and Triporteur from Hell. According to a press release announcing the event, “Chef Roman Murphy will prepare a sumptuous four-course meal which includes a Beef Tartar Amuse Bouche; followed by Rock Shrimp Mini Po’Boys with remoulade, pickles, and slaw on a sweet roll; and an entrée of Beer Braised Wild Boar Ribs with herb polenta and caramelized onions and mushrooms. Guests will be treated to a decadent dessert of Triporteur Hell Chocolate Stout cake with Triporteur Heaven Caramel and topped with pistachio ice cream.”
An evening learning about Van Hecke’s techniques over a mouthwatering meal promises to be a pretty rare treat, as he is both the maltster and brewer for B.O.M.
