Four Corners Releases Canned Beers with Removable Lids

El Chingon canFour Corners Brewing Co. became the first brewery in Texas to release canned beers with fully removable lids yesterday when their Local Buzz rye golden ale, El Chingon IPA and Block Party Porter hit Dallas-Fort Worth shelves.

The innovative can design, meant to give drinkers the experience of drinking right out of a glass, features Crown Holdings, Inc. 360 End™ lids, which are manufactured right here in Texas.

“As a Texas brewery, packaging our beer in can format simply makes sense,” Four Corners Co-founder and Director of Business Development George Esquivel said, in a recent press release. “We (Texans) spend our leisure time by the lake, river or pool (and barbecue pits, of course) and our brews are intended to be part of that enjoyment.”

For Esquivel, the merits of the can design stretch beyond just the sensation of drinking from a glass-like vessel. And beyond the fact that they simply look really cool.

“The quality of our beer is well protected, and with the removable lid, drinkers will enjoy the aroma and full flavor of our brews,” he said. “Great beer brings people together, and we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to share our beer with the world.”

As of today, Four Corners cans are currently available at these DFW area retailers: Central Market Lovers Ln, Specs Walnut Hill, Central Market Preston, Mr G’s Plano, Lone Star Beverage Carrolton, Specs Hulen, Central Market Fort Worth, Specs Eastchase and North Oak Cliff Beer and Wine.
