North Texas gets the “Total Beer Experience”

Grab your #2 two pencils and pint glasses, North Texans. Beer classes are now in session.

Total Wine and More locations in Dallas, Ft. Worth, and Plano will be holding their 1st “Total Beer Experience,” a 10-day beer extravaganza for craft beer enthusiasts to learn about and sample some of their favorite craft beers starting today, January 15th through the 25th.

“The 10-day event offers beer fans the opportunity to sample great local and national craft beers and learn about the explosion of craft and micro-brewed beers directly from the mouths of the brewery’s rock star founders and brewmasters.”

Tastings from breweries from all over the U.S. will be featured, including (but definitely not limited to) New Belgium, Deschutes, Ballast Point, Real Ale, Green Flash and Kona Brewing. But if you’re looking to stay local, brews from Martin House, Franconia, Rahr & Sons, Revolver Brewing are also on the tasting schedule.

The classes will focus on identifying beer styles, the history of beer, Hops 101, and most importantly, cheese pairings. Attendees will also get the chance to meet some of their beer heroes, as many of the classes will be taught by brewers themselves.Presentations from local brewmasters like Jeremy Hunt from Deep Ellum Brewing Company and Franconia’s Cam Horn and Dennis Merhman will take place at Total Wine’s Plano locations.
