The Beer Diaries shows in-depth look at local breweries

beerdiariesYou go to local breweries’ tours and tasting hours. You go to their special parties and events. But how often do you get a behind the scenes look at how your favorite breweries are run and get to see a one-on-one chat with the guy that brews your beer?

The Beer Diaries is here to solve that. The web-based show aims to celebrate and promote craft beer locally and around the world, and for the past six months the crew has been visiting nearly all the breweries in Austin and getting the low down on the inspiration behind that liquid gold.

On Jan. 30, The Beer Diaries hosted the sold out world premiere of their first three episodes which featured Twisted X Brewing Company, Thirsty Planet Brewing and Franklin Barbecue. Tonight, The Beer Diaries will premier three more episodes at the Alamo Drafthouse Village starring Adelbert’s Brewery, Jester King Craft Brewery and Austin Beerworks. In addition to watching all three episodes, the audience will be served a complimentary three-beer flight featuring one beer chosen by each brewer from the three breweries.

Unfortunately tonight’s screening has sold out again, but don’t fret yet! On Feb. 27 The Beer Diaries will be screening another three episodes, so be sure to watch The Beer Diaries’ Twitter account for details on location, tickets and breweries. And of course, if you want to see any of the past episodes, The Beer Diaries is adding a new episode to YouTube each week. Currently you can watch the Twisted X and Thirsty Planet interviews online on your own time.
