Dallas’ Big Texas Beer Fest is returning for its second year, and, if you’re thinkin’ like the ladies of Bitch Beer, that only means one thing, Road Trip!
This year’s festival will take place April 6 at Dallas’ Fair Park Automotive Building.
Started as the brainchild of craft beer loving couple Chad and Nellie Montgomery after an eye-opening trip to the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, this is one aptly titled event. Last year’s festival, which featured approximately 80 breweries hailing from everywhere from Fort Worth to Belgium, received ample praise from media types and attendees alike. This year’s festival is expected to be even bigger with more than 100 breweries in attendance and 400+ beers to sample.
The festival will also feature a kickin’ music lineup including “the official band of Texas craft beer,” Fish Fry Bingo and The O’s. Plus, a free cheese sampling station, free locally roasted coffee samples and food truck’s for everyone’s tasty meal-purchasing needs.
General Admission tickets are $35 and can be purchased on the Big Texas Beer Festival website.
VIP tickets are $60 and include early entry to the festival through a dedicated entrance at 1pm (General admission entrance is 2pm), first access to special tappings, in-and-out access to the festival and a special After Party exclusively for VIPs.
Both ticketing options will include a commemorative souvenir tasting glass and a sampling card good for 12 two ounce pours. Additional sampling cards can be purchased on-site for the bargain price of $2.
Last year’s festival sold out, and apparently this year’s VIP tickets are already dwindling, so we’d recommend getting your tickets in advance if you’re planning to attend.
