Hops & Grain to Celebrate First Anniversary

We can hardly believe it’s been a year since Hops & Grain first opened their doors in an eclectic warehouse space at 507 Calles St. in East Austin.

While known for their year-round canned brews Pale Dog and Alteration, the brewery also puts out some really unique, specially-crafted beer as part of their Greenhouse lineup, brewed on a 3bbl pilot system. They also happen to both practice and preach sustainability, donating one percent of their annual revenue to local environmental non-profits, utilizing recycled packaging materials, and manufacturing dog biscuits with their spent grains. It’s all part of their motto, “Craft Beer Sustainability.”

So, after a year of making great beer and supporting great causes, it’s time to celebrate!

Hops & Grain will be holding an anniversary party Sunday, Oct. 7 at the brewery, featuring a host of special brews, food from Stony’s Pizza and Backstage Grill, and live folk and bluegrass music.

According to the event description, they will be offering samples of 12 different beers, eight of which were brewed especially for the anniversary party.

Included in these 12 will be:

BitterrrRED Ale
Hop Dog Double IPA
Bourbon Barrel Aged ALTeration
French Oak Cabernet Aged Pale Dog
Bourbon Barrel Aged Baltic Porter with Cherries
Bourbon Barrel Aged Baltic Porter with Peaches
O-Fest Oktoberfest Lager
Dark IPA
Plus, some special to-be-announced barrels from the cellar.

Tickets are $35 and include access to the event, plus food, and a limited edition Hops & Grain anniversary pint glass. And, of course, attendees will be able to sample all the previously mentioned delectable brews at no additional charge.

Access to the event will be limited to 500 tickets, so make sure to purchase yous in advance.
Cheers!
