If you’re an excellent multi-tasker and would like to get your weekly grocery shopping done whilst celebrating Oktoberfest, look no further than the Hope Farmers Market’s Oktoberfest 2012. The event will feature “FREE LOCAL BEER from Hops & Grain and Adelbert’s Breweries! (Kegs tapped at noon, bring your own glass or mason jar for a free brew) Sausage specials at The Seedling Truck! Featuring Salt & Time sausages and other local ingredients, Purple Knödel cooking demonstration and tasting at the HOPE Sample Station, Live Music! Featuring Matthew Fagan and Austin Heat, Plenty of sausage to go around from Salt & Time and Countryside Farm… and more vendor specials to be announced.”
Meanwhile, on the East Side, the Volstead Lounge will be hosting an Oktoberfest-themed “Meat and Greet” featuring German beer specials and cocktails, plus, free gourmet sausage. Check out the flyer below for details:
We wouldn’t expect anything less than the biggest Oktoberfest celebration in the Texas hill country from the folks in Fredericksburg. While there is sure to be plenty of beer, the celebration is also very family friendly. Easy Tiger will be celebrating Oktoberfest with Real Ale’s Erik Ogershok. He’ll be bringing out special casks of Imperium, 4-Squared, Signature Hop Pale Ale, Sisyphus, Russian Imperial Stout and Dry Hopped Porter, along with a keg of Black Quad. More details to come!
Rogness Brewing will be taking the best bits of two fall holidays and cramming them together to create one helluva brewery tour. That’s right, Rogness + Halloween + Oktoberfest = Rogtoberween Fest. The event will be held during the brewery’s normal Saturday tour/ tasting hours from 11-3, and will include free bratwurst, an epic Oktoberfest playlist to set the mood, and a costume contest. Best costume will win a Rogness merch package. It’s safe to say they’ll also have plenty of Rogtoberfest pouring in the tasting room! Ticket info to come soon.
